Steve is the Senior Pastor at Prairie Oak Community Church and has been involved in coaching and student athletics for many years in the Andover community. He recently completed a doctoral program on Strengths-based Leadership at Bethel University.
Robb is a graduate of Augsburg University. He currently serves as coach of the Andover Varsity Girls Basketball team, and has coached in both Andover and Osseo schools. Robb brings incredible experience and skills in basketball coaching and youth leadership.
Tom has over 30 years experience in entertainment, broadcasting, and video/graphic design. He has worked behind the camera for network and cable tv, on-air in radio broadcasting, and on stage in theatrical productions. He is Event Manager at Northrop Auditorium at the University of MN.
Joy Archibald is co-directing the Video Production camp. Joy has worked in theatre as stage manager, technical director, and lighting and audio engineer. She is currently a Marketing Coordinator at the University of MN where she is responsible for web and graphic design, video editing and production.
Cheryl obtained her undergraduate degree in biology in Illinois in 1994, medical degree in Chicago in 1988, and pediatric residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas in 1991. She has practiced medicine in Minnesota since 1994 recently leaving her medical practice. She has made it her goal to reach out to children and families providing learning opportunities so children can experience how much fun science can be.
Peter is graduating from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota this spring with a major in biochemistry and double minor in physics and music. He plans to attend medical school with a career in trauma surgery. He plays banjo, piano, base guitar, and bag pipes. Other interests include martial arts with a second-degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do and “do it yourself” design. He enjoys teaching others how science can be fun.
John is currently attending the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota with a double major in physics and electrical engineering as well as a minor in music. He plays piano, pipe organ, and harpsichord. He has interests in computer programming and martial arts with a second-degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do, and currently is becoming proficient in Judo. He enjoys exploring how science and math are related to music and other daily life experiences.
We are excited to announce that Emily Belschner will be leading our Junior Camp! Emily has been involved with Focus Camp for many years … starting out as a camper herself, and then returning to volunteer as an assistant with the various camps.
One of the most important positions of our camp staff is the coordinator of all our lunches and snacks. Fran loves students and brings great energy to our food service team.
